What type of portrait sessions do you offer?

I offer maternity, newborn lifestyle, baby’s first milestones, motherhood, senior, and family sessions. Collections start at $600.

How do I book a session?

Just send me an email at stacy@stacysmithevans.com or submit an inquiry through my Contact form. I usually respond in 24 hours so if you don’t hear from me, check your junk mail folder!

What does the session fee include?

The session fee includes my photography and editing services as well the digital image files. I also assist you in preparing for your session with a Style Guide.

What time of day is best for lighting?

Most outdoor portrait sessions take place in the hours after sunrise or before sunset. We can adjust these times based on your little one’s routine. For in-home newborn sessions, I prefer mid-morning hours.

Where will our session take place?

I have a few favorite spots that I will share with you at the time of booking. Some locations like the DC monuments require a permit so we will go over any additional fees in advance.

What happens if rain is in the forecast?

I watch the forecast in the days leading up to our session and let you know if we need to postpone due to rain, extreme temperatures, or gusty wind. I try to avoid temperatures in the forties and nineties. :)

What happens if someone gets sick before our session?

No problem. I’m very flexible when it comes to rescheduling due to illness. I won’t always have the same day of the week available (Saturdays/Sundays especially) so it helps if you’re flexible as well.

Can I purchase prints? / Do I have to purchase prints through the gallery?

You can purchase prints directly from your digital image gallery or you can print them at a photo lab of your choice. If you’d like a custom album, I’m happy to design and print it for you.

Are you registered to do business and insured?

Yes and yes! I am a registered and insured business in Virginia.
